Welcome to Reflective Web. My name is Micah Hirota Swabb. I live in Haiku, Maui and I am the creator of this web site.
In October of 2007, I decided to leave my position as the Lead Web User Interface Developer at the advertising firm, McCann Erickson, in order to start Reflective Web. My previous three years at McCann were spent along side meticulous project managers, talented designers, and the advertising industry’s brightest interactive strategists.
Like my co-workers, I took pride in designing and delivering multinational web sites and email campaigns. Our clients consisted of technology companies like Microsoft, Verizon Wireless, McAfee, Good Technologies, and Plantronics.
The rigorous standards of these high profile projects advanced my understanding of semantic based mark-up, web standards, advanced CSS, Ajax, Javascript, Flash, HTML emails, and web site localization. Working in a busy ad agency taught me how to handle complex projects with multiple concurrent deadlines. I learned how to bridge communication gaps between various groups within the company, while building my reputation as a dependable, direct and experienced web developer.
Now that I’ve created my own web design firm, Reflective Web, I continue to use the same skilled and pragmatic approach to building web sites. From putting together a quote and project proposal, to seeing the work through to completion, I am there through the entire process.
